Celebrating the 4th of July in Blue Ridge GA

Blue Ridge GA and our North Georgia mountains are a great place to be for the 4th of July. Celebrations and fireworks abound in our mountain communities. This year, on July 1st you can start your patriotic celebrating on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway’s Firecracker Express. It travels from Blue Ridge to McCaysville and is a great way to enjoy the TriCities fireworks display at the top of Tater Hill. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about parking or traffic after the fireworks are over because the train will return you to Blue Ridge after the […]

Travel Guide: Blue Ridge, GA

Travel Guide: Blue Ridge, GA – from Life in Between, a travel blog by Haley Clemons. Sometimes, you just need to get away. When I heard about a little town in Georgia that had cozy cabins, quiet walks through nature, orchards, wineries, and delicious food…I was sold. My friend and I immediately booked a cabin on Airbnb that rested atop Cherry Log Mountain. The log home had two bedrooms, an open kitchen, fireplace, screened-in porch, hot tub and more. We left on a Friday afternoon ready to enjoy a three-day Memorial Day weekend in the deep woods of north Georgia. […]

The Best Chamber of Commerce in Georgia

Fannin County Chamber of Commerce Maybe this is a weird blog post topic, but I was scrolling through Facebook and I came across our Chamber of Commerce’s page (as I have many times before) and I was reminded how awesome our Chamber is. I urge you to check out their website and like their Facebook page (links below). As a Realtor it’s an invaluable resource to get new residents acquainted with the area. Whether you live in Blue Ridge or are visiting, their website has all the information you need. They have an events calendar that informs you of […]

Throw out of donate what you no longer need or want and then pack up the rest in preparation of moving. This goes for furniture […]

Getting Pampered in Blue Ridge GA

I love getting a massage. I like to get a manicure and pedicure too, but if I’m going to indulge, a massage tops the list. There’s nothing wrong with being pampered either. Like you, I work hard and play hard. Getting an hour (or so) of top to bottom, complete relaxation is just what I need sometimes. Fortunately for me, we have two great spas here in Blue Ridge, Serenity in the Mountains and Tea Tree’s Boutique Spa. Not to mention, just a short drive up the road there is the beautiful Brasstown Valley Equani Spa and Paradise Hills Resort […]

Visit the Swan Drive-in Theatre in Blue Ridge GA

School is out and the temperatures are warm. These are our fun, lazy days when it’s time to head out to the drive-in. The Swan Drive-In is one of only four remaining drive-ins in the state of Georgia. It has been up and running since 1955 and is now fully digital. It’s always been a popular hang out, especially in the summer. They show a double feature on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. It’s hard to beat 2 first run movies at $8 for adults and $5 for children. It’s a step back in time to when life was more […]
